SSC JE Exam Result 2017: Staff Selection Commission will release the result of the SSC JE Exam 2017 Paper 2 this month. The Exam of SSC JE Paper 2 was conducted in the month of April. Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC JE exam for the post of Junior Engineer in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical in various departments. According to the Staff Selection Notification which was released on 1st may (from the Desk of Chairman), the result of the Paper 2 of the SSC JE exam will be declared tentatively on 22 June 2018. The result can also be expected before the tentative date. A total number of 5855 candidates appeared in the SSC JE Paper 2 2017 for the Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Staff Selection Commission conducted the Junior Engineer Exam Paper 1 on 22nd – 29th January 2018. In the SSC JE Paper 1, a total number of 569930 candidates appeared in the exam. Out of this number, total 225723 candidates appeared for the Civil Engineering, 149758 appeared for the Electrical Engineering and 194449 appeared for the Mechanical Engineering.

Out of the 569930 candidates appeared for the Paper 1 of the SSC JE Exam Paper 1, only 5855 candidates qualified for the SSC JE Paper 2 exam. Civil Engineering (4433 candidates qualified) and Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (1422 candidates qualified).

The SSC JE Paper 2 was a descriptive Paper and was conducted in the month of April (29th April). The cut off the SSC JE Paper 1 2017 was 117 marks for the Civil Engineering and 136.25 for the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Candidates are advised to keep a regular check on the website of SSC for updates regarding the SSC JE result of Paper 2.

The Staff Selection Commission will fill 362 posts in the various departments for the post of Junior Engineers. These are the tentative list of vacancies. in the Central Water Commission there are 9 tentative vacancies for the JE posts (Civil), 145 vacancies for the CPWD department, 2 vacancies in Ministry of Defence (Civil), 2 in Ministry of Defence (Electrical), 14 for the Farrakka Barrage Project (Civil), 97 in Mes (Civil), 76 in MES (Mechanical), 17 in NTRO (National Technical Research Organisation.
