Government orders CBI Inquiry on SSC exam scam as demanded by thousands of protesting students. Students refuse to call off protests till justice is rendered.

SSC Exam scam 2018 has tightly gripped the nation with thousands of students coming on streets to protest against the paper leak. The violated code of conduct of the SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam this year in February 2018 with paper leaks as told by students who took the test angered many of them who saw their hard work going down the drain.

Series of violations ranging from paper leaks on social media to mobile screenshots available inside exam hall to scribbled paper chits found in toilets of SSC online exam centres, moved by these issues, the government also asked for a CBI Probe in the matter.

Story Behind SSC Online Exam Scam 2018 & Why Students Are Protesting  

SSC ‘Combined Graduate Level Examination’ which is held every year to recruit candidates for officer posts in prestigious government departments is now engulfed in the cobweb of controversy. The Tier-2 level of SSC CGLE 2017 was conducted in February 2018 for candidates who cracked the prelims (Tier-I) level of the same.

The test was initially held after frequent delays and repeatedly extended schedule. Not halting at this, SSC CGL Tier-1 exam result also had a controversy when errors were found in the result list of candidates which were corrected upon in January this year. Updated & revised SSC CGL 2017 exam Tier-1 level result was declared based on which tests were scheduled.

The ongoing SSC CGL Tier-2 exam five-day schedule commenced from Feb 17, 2018 onwards. On the very first day of the exam, scribbled chits of paper were found in the toilet at a Delhi exam centre. On 21st of Feb i.e. Day : 4 of holding the SSC CGLE, incorrect download of question papers, technical glitches and other related issues posed inconvenience for candidates.

A delegation of student in this regard met the senior authorities of SSC and a BJP Chief to resolve the matter. The students demanded CBI inquiry on the issue asking for justice as they had evidences intact. The circulation of question papers on social media especially of Paper-1 which is quantitative aptitude led to widespread distress among students. The Commission called off the first part of the exam on that day on technical grounds only to re-conduct the same on 9th March. Check details of ‘SSC CGL Tier-2 Re-exam 2017 on March 9.’

The authorities have assured students that proper probe in the matter shall be done by CBI and they must go back homes. While students are still out on streets protesting and waiting for the matter to be resolved in totality. They have refused to call off the protests and all we hope and pray is efforts and hard work of these aspirants shall not go in vain.
