SSC Recruitment 2018: Staff Selection Commission will start the process of online applications for the post of Constable in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA & SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles on 17th August. The candidates who want to apply for the post of Constable in various departments can fill the application form online on or after 17th August. SSC Recruitment 2018 for Constable – Examination Scheme
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) selects the candidates for the post of Constable in CAPFs, NIA & SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles on the basis of Computer Based Examination, PET, PST & Medical Examination. First, the candidates will undergo the CBT exam for Constable Recruitment. The CBT Exam will be an objective type paper. The SSC Paper for Constable Recruitment will have total 100 questions of 100 marks.
CBT Exam: The questions in the CBT exam will be from subjects – General Intelligence and Reasoning (25 questions of 25 marks), General Knowledge and General Awareness (25 questions of 25 marks), English/ Hindi (25 questions of 25 marks) and Elementary mathematics (25 questions of 25 marks). Candidates will be given 90 minutes to attempt the CBT Exam. In short, candidates will have to attempt 100 questions in 90 minutes. The examination will be conducted in English Language & Hindi language only.
PET (Physical Efficiency Test) & PST (Physical Standard Test): The candidates who will clear the CBE, will be called for the PET test by Staff Selection Commission. Under the PET & PST, candidates will have to undergo physical measurement (Height & Chest). In the PET, male candidates will have to cover 5 kms in 24 minutes while the female candidates 1.6 Kms in 8.5 minutes. Medical Examination: The candidates who will qualify the CBE and also qualified the PET & PST will be called for the Medical Examination. At the time of DME, the Staff Selection Commission will verify documents. The candidates will have to verify their examination certificate, Domicile Certificate, Caste Certificate, Age relaxation Certificate and other certificates.
SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2018
Last month, the Staff Selection Commission released the official notification regarding the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2018. The online process was scheduled to start on the new website of SSC from 21st July but due to technical problems, the Commission postponed the starting date. The process again started on 25th July but once again the new website of Staff Selection Commission faces problems and lastly, the application postponed and now the process of filling the application form will begin from 17the August.
