SSC will conduct examination 2017 for recruitment of 1102 Scientific Assistant post in India Meteorological Department. SSC is most likely to conduct the examination in between 20th -27th November 2017. The Scientific Assistant post recruitment exam will be conducted across different test centres of the country. SSC Recruitment Exam 2017

SSC has released a notice regarding examination details for 1102 posts of scientific assistants in the Indian Meteorological Department. Aspiring candidates can apply online for the Scientific Assistant Recruitment Exam on the official website of SSC by August 4, 2017. Candidates are required to deposit a fee of Rs. 100 by August 8, 2017.

Candidate willing to apply for the post need to be below 30 years of age as of August 8, 2017. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA in Bachelors degree in science, or computer science, computer application or information technology. Candidates who have a diploma in electronics and telecommunication engineering from recognized university are also eligible to apply for the post. The approximate salary for the Scientific Assistant post is Rs 33,000 to Rs 36,000 plus grade pay of Rs.4200.

Scientific Assistant Recruitment Exam Pattern

Scientific Assistant Recruitment Exam will be conducted across various test centres in India being Jammu, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Guntur, Itanagar, Almora, Bangalore, Gangtok and Agra. The exam will be a division of 2 parts with total weight being 200 marks. Candidates will get 2 hours to answer 200 questions. Students need to be careful as examination carries negative marking of 0.25 marks. Candidates will not be allowed to carry phones, calculators and any other electronic device inside the examination hall.

Part one of the exam will question related to general intelligence and reasoning, English language, quantitative aptitude, and comprehension and general awareness for 100 marks. Part two will have questions on physics, computer science, electronics and telecommunication engineering and information technology for 100 marks. Both exam will be conducted on the same day.
