SSC Steno Exam 2018: Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC Steno Exam 2018 in the month of February 2019. The exam for the Stenographer Grade C and D posts will be held from 1st February 2019 to 6th February 2019. The procedure of filling the application form for the Stenographer exam has closed on the official website last month.
The procedure of filling the application form for Steno Grade C and Grade D posts started on 22nd October 2018 on the Staff Selection Commission website. The last date was 20th November to fill the application form. The application fee payment last date was 21st November via online mode and 26th November via Challan. Scheme of Examination of Stenographer For Grade C and D: As said above that the Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Steno Exam 2018 from 1st February to 6th February 2019. The examination will be a computer-based exam which will have total 200 questions of 200 marks and candidates will have to attempt these questions in 2 hours.
In the CBE Examination for the Stenographer posts, there will be 50 questions from the General Intelligence and Reasoning Section and the maximum marks will be 50 which means 1 mark for one questions. The second section is the General Awareness section and in this section, there will be 50 questions of 50 marks. Lastly, the English Language and Comprehension. In this section. there will be 100 questions of 100 marks. After conducting the CBE exam for Steno Grade C and Grade D posts, Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Skill test.
Mode of Selection: The candidates whose applications will be found in order will be called to appear in the Computer Based Examination. Just 10 or 15 days before the exam date, the admit cards for the candidates will be available on the website of Staff Selection Commission. Candidates who will qualify the CBE exam will then called for the skill test. Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill test on the basis of marks in CBE.
The Skill test is qualifying in nature and the candidates who will qualify the test will be considered for the final selection for the post of Stenographer. The final selection of candidates will be based on the performance in CBE, the department selected by them. The document verification will also be done at the same time.
