SSC CGL 2018 | Important Changes in Official Notice by Staff Selection Commission – Check New Notification Here

SSC, Staff Selection Commission has issued a corrigendum over the SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exam notification issued on 5th May 2018. Some new changes have been made in this notice and it has been stated that the changes made are official as per this new notice issued on 12th May 2018. SSC CGL 2018 Exams are scheduled to be held from 25 July and the application process for the same has already been started on the official website of Staff Selection Commission – ssconline.nic.in. The online application process started on 5th May and the last date to apply for SSC CGL 2018 is 4 June. Candidates have 1 entire month to fill their forms.

As per the new notification released by SSC for Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018, amendments have been made in paragraph No. 2.1, 7(iii), 9.6.2 and 22 (vii) of the previous notice that was released on 5th May.

SSC CGL 2018 Notification – New Changes

As per new notice for CGL 2018 exam, changes/additions have been made in fees payable, eligibility for a post in Intelligence Bureau,  and CPT (Computer proficiency test). All the changes have been discussed below in an ordered manner.

In Paragraph Number 2.1 = The post of Assistant Section Officer in Intelligence Bureau which was mentioned at S. No. 4 in the May 5 notification of SSC CGL 2018 is not identified suitable for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

SSC CGL 2018 Application Fees

In Paragraph 7(iii) = This section refers to the application fee. Women candidates, Persons with Disabilities and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and ExServicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

In Paragraph 22(vii) = It is further stated that the application Fee payable is Rupees one hundred only (Rs.100/-) which is payable through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, MasterCard or Maestro Credit/ Debit card. Candidates again need to note that the application fee for applying to SSC Combined Graduate level exam 2018 is exempted for persons with Disabilities, all Women candidates as well as other candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and ExServicemen eligible for reservation.

CPT (Computer Proficiency Test) for SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018

In paragraph 9.6.2 = It has been stated that the Staff Selection Commission will hold Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) which will comprise of three modules – (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides. The CPT will be conducted for the posts of Assistant Section Officer of CSS, Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines and Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer) & Inspector (Examiner) in CBEC.

The new notification by SSC also reads that the detailed instructions in regard to CPT will be provided to those candidates who are eligible for the same at a later stage.

Staff Selection Commission in this new notice has also mentioned that all other terms, conditions and details mentioned in SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 notification issued on 5th May remain the same.
