It was a blockbuster opening for the Diljit Dosanjh’s new Bollywood Punjabi Movie “Super Singh” that has been released yesterday worldwide. The movie has amassed a good number of audience as well as reviews on its very first day of screening at almost 350 theaters all over India. The occupancy level in the Northern regions from Punjab to Delhi was 75% while in the other regions it was 45%. With numbers as good as these Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa starrer movie Super Singh did a business of Rs 2.09 crores on its very first day. With such a successful opening all over India Super Singh has been reviewed as a full Paisa Vasool movie by the critics.
Super Singh– Punjab’s 1st Superhero Reviewed
Super Singh is the third Bollywood project of Diljit Dosanjh after Phillauri and Udta Punjab which has added yet another feather in the cap of Punjabi actor cum singer recently. Both the audience and critics have made great reviews about the movie and is considering it the best film so far of the Punjabi actor apart from Sardar Ji and Jatt and Juliet 1 & 2.
The plot of the movie has been termed as quite rickety and has nothing much in it to keep one’s attention under seize. The only thing that makes you watch the Super Singh is Diljit Dosanjh, who with his rampant, wacky and out of this world dialogues and insane stunts will make you laugh really hard and stick to your seats till the end.
According to one of the review the Super Singh movie has “huge screenplay craters and wafer thin plot that somehow get smoothly eclipsed by the amazing Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh’s silly jokes from time to time.” Moreover the review also says that “Super Singh takes a strange turn from funny and romantic to political and religious in between and pushes moral lessons down the audience’s throat.”
Being based on a funny to strange to ethical plot Diljit Dosanjh somehow has done a tremendous job in the movie; has saved it spectacularly from falling down till the end and is being looked upon as the only saving grace of the film Super Singh by the reviewers. Sonam Bajwa who is playing Diljit’s love interest in the movie does not have very note worthy scenes and you would see her sparsely until the end.
Diljit’s Super Singh-A Must Watch?
Oh come on guy! Of course it is a must watch! Who wouldn’t like to see a superhero with a turban and speaking farratedar Punjabi and also dealing with huge to little “itchy scratchy”situations here and there with ease for atleast 2 hours 45 minutes. Diljit Dosanjh’s charm and sensless moves and stunts will make you laugh your ass off throughout the movie Super Singh. The movie has been rated:
