Tata Motors Delivers Tata Tigor EV (Electric) Sedans to EESL India

Tata Motors released its first batch of Tigor electric cars from its Sanand plant in Gujarat. Now Tata Motors has delivered the Tigor EV (electric) cars to Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) that is a government-run body. The CEO and MD of Tata Motors, Guenter Butschek and the Managing director of EESL, Saurabh Kumar and other senior members of management were present at the hand over function.

Some Features of Tata Tigor EV

Tata Motors says that Tigor Electric is a fully electric car which does not produce emissions. The Tata Tigor EV will be offered to EESL in three variants, base model, premium model and top model. The Electric car is available only in pearlescent white color and blue decals. Tata Tigor EV is equipped with an electric motor developed by Electra EV. Tata has not yet revealed the specifications of Tigor Electric but the car is equipped with a single speed automatic transmission. Moreover, fully automatic climate control is offered as standard in all variants.

It’s the initiative of government of India to procure ten thousand electric vehicles in order to promote green and sustainable means of transportation. Tata Motors has started the journey with Tigor EV to boost e-mobility and is likely to offer more electric vehicles to the customers. The tender for electric vehicles has effectively paved the way for connecting Tata’s vision of e-mobility with that of the Indian government.

Tata Motors did not confirm Specifications of Tata Tigor EV

Tata Motors is expected to introduce the Tigor EV sedan in India, but the time is not yet confirmed. The overdrive time approached Tata Motors to find out the details regarding the launch of Tigor Electric. Tata motors confirmed that they have a plan to enter the electric vehicles but they have not fixed the time for the same. The company also did not confirmed on whether Tigor EV would be the first electric vehicle that it would launch for regular customers.

Tigor Electric is expected to run a maximum of 150 km on a complete single charge but the same has not been confirmed by the company. Tata motors have not yet confirmed the price of Tigor EV. Till now Tata has offered Electric vehicles to EESL, but it will soon bring the electric cars for regular customers as well.
