Homegrown automaker Tata Motors has signed three years partnership deal with BCCI for IPL. It was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that one of the largest auto manufacturers in India – Tata Motors has come on board for 3 years as the official partner for Indian Premier League (IPL).
How will it benefit Tata Motors?
Tata Motors, as the official partner of the IPL, will leverage the IPL 2018 platform to showcase its newly launched Compact SUV – the Tata Nexon in the stadium where IPL matches will be played across the country. The automaker will also utilize the platform to carry out on-ground engaging activities plans to distribute Tata merchandise.
The similarity between Tata Nexon and the Indian Premier League
In India, both Bollywood and Cricket sell like hotcake and IPL has a created a frenzy that has added more dynamism to the sport. Certainly, IPL is all about exceptional performance, and same is the mantra of the Tata Nexon, which will be showcased at the 2018 IPL platform.
The automaker will make use of the platform to further strengthen Tata’s brand image in the country especially among the youth. The car manufacturer has big plans to capture spectators’ attention during the IPL matches. The association with IPL will give the automaker an opportunity to prove its mettle not just on-ground, but also on-air and other digital platforms.
The audience gets a chance to win cash prizes as well as a Tata Nexon
The IPL matches will offer engaging activities for the audience as well as for the players. While the players will get a chance to win a Tata Nexon daily the audience can win cash prizes worth lakhs during the matches. The best striker of the match will be given a Tata Nexon by Tata Motors. The special prize has been titled as – “Tata Nexon Super Striker”. There will be a special prize for the striker of the tournament as well.
Among other activities by Tata Motors, the “Tata Nexon Fan Catch” will offer the audience a chance to win Rs 1 lakh daily while the winner of the season (Audience award) will drive home a brand new Tata Nexon. The audience will have to wait for Sixes to grab Rs 1 lakh. To qualify for the cash prize the participant would need to take a single-handed catch.
