Tata Nexon to Cost More From January 1, 2018 | Revised Price List and More

Tata Motors’s latest launch, the Tata Nexon is likely to receive a price hike from January 1, 2018. It has been reported that the automaker announced the price hike on the entire range o Tata passenger vehicles. The automaker has announced that the price of its vehicles would be increased by up to Rs 25,000 from beginning next year.

Tata Motors announced that the introductory price of the much-anticipated subcompact Tata Nexon would come to an end by the end of this year and the car would come with an increased price from January 1, 2018.

Tata Nexon to cost more from January 2018

The carmaker – Tata, has attributed the price hike to rising input costs. Tata Motors has announced that it will be increasing the prices of its passenger vehicles from the beginning of 2018 to bear the rising production costs. The automaker has also mentioned that it will be soon revising the prices of its subcompact SUV Tata Nexon after December 1, 2017. The introductory prices of Tata’s first subcompact SUV will end by December 31 and from January 2018 the entire Tata passenger vehicle range will witness a price hike by upto Rs 25,000. Tata Nexon was launched in India in September this year at an introductory price of Rs 5.85 lakh. 10,000 units of the Tata Nexon have already been manufactured which clearly showcases the popularity of the subcompact SUV.

Tata Nexon trims and engine options

The Tata Nexon has both diesel and petrol engine options and is available in four trims. The Nexon gets a 1.2 L Revotron turbo petrol engine and in the diesel unit it gets the 1.5 L Revotorq turbo diesel unit. The subcompact SUV comes in XE, XM, XT, and XZ+ trims. Both the petrol and diesel engines of the Tata Nexon come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. It has been recently reported that Tata Motors will soon be introducing the AMT variants of the car by March 2018.

Prices of Tata passenger vehicles to go up from January 1, 2018

Tata Motors is all set to increase the prices of its products from January 2018. The products from the Tata stable that are reported to get a price hike of up to Rs 25,000 include the Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor, Tata’s premium SUV Hexa, and the newly launched compact SUV Tata Nexon.
