India’s ace car manufacturer, Tata Motors has come up with its new variant Tata Tiago Electric that promises to run 100 km on one charge. Tata Tiago Electric is one promising car of 2017 that has emerged as the vehicle that will prove to be easy and cost-effective in everyone’s pocket in today’s era when the prices of both petrol and diesel have skyrocketed. The government of India has advised car manufacturers in the country to make such vehicles that can be driven on electricity rather than petrol or diesel.
Not only this, Tata Motors has also unveiled the Tata V-Variant concept model of Tata Tiago during the UK based 2017 Cenex LCV (Low Carbon Vehicle) event. This electric variant of Tata Tiago is the noble introduction of the four-wheeler that will not emit polluting residue in nature.

India’s Tata Motors had launched the Tata Tiago petrol and the diesel variants last year but Tata Tiago Electric is launched in 2017. Tata Tiago Electric is a heavy duty and robust car that boasts accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in sports mode that too in just 11 seconds. The car Tata Tiago Electric is backed by an 85 kilowatt motor of producing 200 newtons of maximum torque. Tata’s car Tiago Electric houses a lithium-ion battery along with the cooling system to allow the battery to cool down at the time of overheating.
Features and price of Tata Tiago Electric in India
Talking about the Tata Tiago Electric also has a single speed gearbox and weighs up to 1040 kgs. Tata Tiago Electric can run at the maximum speed of 135 kms/ hour, which makes it a fastest running electric car in India. By far, Tata Motors has sold more than 17 Tata Tiago Electric across India priced at the base model cost of Rs 3.30 lakh. However, the price of a top edition of the same Tata Tiago Electric in India is fixed at Rs 5.8 lakh.
Not only this, but the manufacturer has also produced electric variants in its other models including Tata Indica and Tata Bolt and were unveiled during the Low Carbon Vehicle 2017. It is also speculated that Tata will soon introduce the electric variant of its Tata Nano car model and will be launched by next year in India.
