A new dance training center by the name “The Dance Studio” has opened up in Sector 125, Mohali to serve residents of the tricity. This is the first holistic dance training center in Chandigarh region. City based Internationally acclaimed artistes Varun & Barsha (a husband and wife duo), who have also represented India at various International platforms across Asia & the Middle East as dance instructors are the brain behind the dance studio.
This is their 1st dance training center in tricity and they have named it “The Dance Studio” to keep it simple. The couple have expertise in ‘Salsa & Bollywood’ dance forms, and is well known in Dance circles across the world.

Varun said that they have chosen Mohali as a location for their dance studio as no studios offer holistic holistic dance training in this area.
While Chandigarh already has dance training centres, something of this kind was the need of Greater Mohali. The other advantage that “The Dance Studio” Mohai/Kharar will offer is that people will benefit from the abroad exposure of Varun & Barsha. The couple claims to have conducted training in various dance festival events in countries including Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangladesh, Dubai, etc.
Barsha who has expertise in 18 state dances will spearhead the training at ‘The Dance Studio’. She is also the only certified ‘Belly Dance’ instructor in tricity. “The Dance Studio Mohali” will be offering training in over 30 dance forms. These include Folk Dances, Belly Dance, Contemporary, Bollywood style, Hip-Hop, Indian Classical & more. Apart from these, couple dances too will be taught. Couple dance styles like Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, Cha cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Paso doble, Vienesse, Jive, Rock n Roll & the Standard Ballroom trio forms of Waltz, Quickstep & Tango will be much in demand. The dance studio mohali will surely be one-stop-shop for all dance training needs.
Varun & Barsha will also be making India’s first Teen Latin Dance Film by the name of ‘Desi Latino’s in year 2017.
Club Salsa International (CSI) which is another vertical owned by Varun & Barsha has successfully choreographed more than 700 stage shows & over 350 wedding choreographies across India. Adds Varun, “CSI organizes various International workshops, boot camps, festivals & events to create opportunities for dance enthusiasts to showcase their talent. Needless to say that our trainees at ‘The Dance Studio’ will get a ready-made platform through the events we organize.”
It is noteworthy that Varun & Barsha have already been invited in the Artistes Line up in the North West Salsa Congress in UK from 5-7 May 2017. What’s more, Club Salsa International in collaboration with ‘The Dance Studio’ is bringing International event – International Salsa Festival, Chandigarh (Season 4) shortly and Kids International Dance Summit (KIDS) in May-June of 2017.
