The genre of this movie, Raag Desh is a period drama set in the era of 1945. The movie is based on the Indian National Army(INA) set up by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose who fought the war of independence on the shores of the Irrawaddy in Burma. Those INA soldiers were termed as INA renegades and Japanese stooges by the British and were trialed at the Red Fort in Delhi with sedition and murder charges. The film is a narration of how Red Fort trial changed the lives of those men who fought for independence, justice, and dignity.
