Tourists Throng Rohtang Pass (Manali) in Himachal Pradesh & It’s Going to be a Busy Season

Himachal Pradesh Tourism has opened the roads to Rohtang Pass for its tourists after 5 months of disconnection from the state. The 13,050 ft high Rohtang Pass attracts a huge number of tourists every year because of its beautiful snow covered mountains and hidden little water springs.

Rohtang Pass Makes Way For Travellers

Over 1172 vehicles made their way to Manali’s Rohtang Pass today. The Himachal administration has arranged all the important facilities for the tourists visiting the holiday spot like eco-friendly toilets,  parking lots, drinking water and ambulances along with two paramedics between Marhi to Rohtang Pass.

Apart from that to avoid any mischievous activities on the Manali-Rohtang road Himachal Traffic police will keep all the vehicles and tourists under check for smooth running.

The Pass will remain closed on Tuesdays.

Rohtang Pass stays smothered in the snow for almost 10 months a year. This place in Himachal Pradesh has remained one of the most travelled tourist destination so far.

Those who come to visit Dharamshala, Shimla and Manali mark their trip complete only after visiting this beautiful place of Rohtang Pass situated on the Leh-Manali Highway in the Kullu Valley.

How To Reach Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass is situated at a distance of 53 km from Manali. The best season to visit this place is June to October. Tourists spend a hefty amount of money to visit this famous tourist spot in Himachal in summers every year.

You can either take a plane, a bus, train or a taxi to reach Rohtang Pass once you reach Manali. From Manali-Rohtang Pass is only 50 km away.

By Road- Take the Himachal Roadways Bus from Manali that also goes to Leh via Rohtang Pass, through Keylong. You can also hire a taxi or take you own vehicle.

If you want to take your own vehicle then you will have to apply for a permit online that costs Rs 550/-. And also you will have to pay the Green Tax which is Rs 300/-.

By Air- Nearest Airport is in Bhuntar almost 104 km away from Rohtang Pass. You can take a cab from the airport easily to reach there.

By Train- The closest railway station at Joginder Nagar about 103 km away from Rohtang and 50 km away from Manali.
