TVS is all set to launch the most awaited concept motorcycle TVS Akula as TVS Apache RR 310 on December 10, 2017. Apache 310 was already showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 in Delhi. Apache RR 310 is also known as Akula 310 and will be the first fully faired bike from TVS. Akula 310 is the most powerful and most anticipated TVS bike among bike lovers.
TVS Apache RR 310 Engine Specifications
TVS has manufactured the Akula 310 in collaboration with BMW and is expected to be powered by the BMW engine used in BMW G310R. TVS Apache 310 will be the most powerful bike from TVS as it is the company’s first bike in 300 cc segment. The motorcycle is expected to be powered by the 313cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine made by BMW Motorrad. The engine produces 34 bhp power and 28 Nm of torque and comes with a six-speed transmission gearbox. This is the first fully faired bike with the most powerful engine from TVS.
TVS Apache RR 310 Design
TVS Akula design is inspired by a shark hence the name Akula which means shark. According to the images leaked online, the new TVS Apache RR 310 will have twin headlamps, high tail, front and rear disc brakes, a digital speedometer and instrument cluster and upside down front forks. Speaking about the safety features, the bike is expected to come with a dual channel ABS (Anti Lock Braking System). TVS has also featured a dual channel ABS in its recently launched bike Apache RTR 200 4V.
TVS Apache RR 310 Rivals
As per the reports, the upcoming bike TVS Apache RR 310 will be available only in one variant in blue and red colour. The bike is manufactured specially for racing in collaboration with BMW Motorrad. However, it will also be suitable for city riding. The company has not yet announced the price of TVS Apache RR 310. Apache RR 310 bike will face competition from already present Bajaj Dominar 400, KTM RC 200, KTM RC 390, Benelli 302R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Royal Enfield 350. While Apache RR 310 will be the least powerful but most affordable among its rivals and that is what TVS will be banking on.
