Uber Completes 5 Billion Cab Trips Globally & It Plans Something Even Bigger

As one of the leading urban mobility globally, Uber has reached the mark of completing 500 Crore trips throughout the world. Completing this milestone on 20th of this May, Uber is set to raise its aim on achieving high rates of success in the coming future. On 20th of May, Uber achieved this landmark with the 156 trips getting started simultaneously in the morning throughout the 24 countries on over 6 continents.

Hitting the 5-billion mark now the leading name of Uber is planning to dream even bigger. Out of these 156 simultaneous 5 billion trip, India has been known to be the largest contributor outside of US with 19 simultaneous five billionth trips.

Uber, the cab company has completed 500 crore trips across the world. An American technology company-Uber Technologies Inc. is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States. The company is operating in 570 cities worldwide.

After US, India has been rated as the second largest contributor in Uber, that helped it achieve the milestone of 500 crore trips. With its drivers in the cities like Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune, Uber clocked the 500 croreth trip. Also, among the other 5 riders, one was the first time rider from Chennai who unintentionally became the fortunate one for Uber to hit the mark.

Uber started the service in 2010 and crossed the milestone of 100 crore trips in 2015 and six months later it again hit the record by 200 crore trips and now, it has gone up at 500 crore trip. With this rate in upcoming years the numbers are going to increase like a lightning flame.
