UPSC CDS Exam 2018 Official Notification in August
As per the UPSC Examination Calendar 2018, Union Public Service Commission will release the CDS II official notification on the UPSC website on 8th August 2018. The online application process for the same will begin from the same date. The last date to fill the application form will be 3rd September 2018. Once the official notification for the CDS 2 Exam 2018 will be out, candidates can apply online on the website www.upsconline.nic.in.
The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the Combined Defence Services Examination 2018 in November (18th November). Earlier this year, Union Public Service Commission conducted the UPSC CDS I Exam 2018 in the month of February. The official notification was released last year on 8th November 2017 and the last date to fill the application form was 4th December 2017.
UPSC CDS Exam – Scheme of Examination
The Union Public Service Commission CDS exam consists of Written Examination followed by the Interview for Intelligence and Personality test. For the admissions in the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy & Air Force Academy candidates will have to give written exam for subjects English, General Knowledge & Elementary Mathematics. For admissions to officers in Training Academy candidates will have to give written test only for English & General Knowledge subject.
Each subject in the Union Public Service Commission CDS written exam will have 100 questions and candidates will get 2 hours to attempt each subject. Each subject will have 100 maximum marks. All the questions will be objective type. The Intelligence and Personality Test for the UPSC CDS Exam consists of two stages i.e Stage 1 & Stage 2.
Candidates who will clear the Stage 1 will appear in the second stage. Stage 1 comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating, Description Test. In this test, candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Description Test and Officer Intelligence Rating. The Stage 2 of the Union Public Service Commission CDS Personality test & Intelligence includes Interview, Group testing officer tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.
