UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 | Official Notification Released Online, Know Details 

The aspirants of the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 whose recruitment notification inviting applications from them in an online mode is readily accessible for candidates now. The pdf format of notice carrying detailed information clearly states that the aspirants need to ensure the eligibility criteria including the age limit, education qualifications and number of attempts granted by the UPSC for its Civil Services Preliminary examination.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 shall be conducted at two levels,Prelims as well as Mains test. The exam pattern have been explained in the notice for both the levels separately for candidates to carry out their preparation accordingly. The UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2018 shall consist of two papers each carrying 200 marks having duration of 2 hours each. Both the papers within the prelims test are compulsory and would be available in both the languages, Hindi and English.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 | Know Minimum Qualifying Marks To Be Scored

The prelims test shall be of an objective type paper consisting of multiple choice questions to be atempted by the candidate. The most important part of the same includes GS paper, which is General studies which further sets the qualifying criteria for the next level as Mains exam. A minimum of 33% of marks shall have to be scored by the candidate in the GS (Paper-II) of UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2018 in order to qualify the test for the next test.

The UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 Mains test shall comprise of Paper-A and Paper-B. The Paper-A shall consist of 300 marks paper to be chosen from the languages listed in the constitution. Paper-B is of English and further 7 papers shall be conducted by the Commission for selecting candidates for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018. Candidates have the right to choose from any of the optional subjects given.
