UPSC Civil Services Final Result for 2017 Exam Declared | 990 Candidates to Join Service

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of civil services exam held in 2017. The news about the declaration of the result came out on Friday the 27th of April, Friday in evening hours. As soon as the result was declared, the official UPSC website faced an error. However, as per a notification on upsc.gov.in, it has been mentioned that the final result of UPSC 2017 exam is now available on upsconline.nic.in.

Candidates awaiting their final result are requested to check the list of selected candidates that has been uploaded on the official UPSC website.

UPSC 2017 Final Result

The written paper of UPSC civil services 2017 was held in October November 2017 and the interviews for Personality Test for the same were held recently in February April 2018. Lakhs of candidates had appeared for the written test and thousands has appeared for the personality test. As per records, a total of 11 lakh candidates had appeared for UPSC 2017 exam.

As the final result of UPSC 2017 are out, the Union Public Service Commission has recommended over 990 names of selected candidates for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services. All these vacancies fall under Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

Out of the 990 candidates that have been recommended, 750 of them are men and rest 240 are women.

It may be noted that the marks for the exam have not yet been displayed. As per UPSC, the marks of candidates in UPSC 2017 exam will be displayed in around 15 days from now. The list of 990 recommended candidates can be treated as the final UPSC result.

In order to check your result for UPSC 2017 exam – final list – you need to follow the procedure below:

Log on to the official website upsc.gov.in

Click on the tab ‘check result’

A PDF file will open displaying the roll numbers of the selected candidates

Download the same and take a printout for future reference.

The result is also available on upsconline.nic.in

For any clarification regarding the results, candidates can call on the numbers 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543 on working days between 10 am and 5 pm. The marks will be made available in around 15 days.

Update: Hyderabad’s Anudeep Durishetty has topped the list while Anu Kumari and Sachin Gupta have ranked second and third respectively.
