Every Year UPSC that is Union Public Service Commission conducts exam for Engineering Services commonly known as UPSC ESE and the application window to apply for UPSC ESE 2018 exam has been open since 27th September 2017. But as per the official notification, the last date set by UPSC for accepting applications from the candidates who are willing to appear for the UPSC ESE 2018 is 23rd October 2017 i.e. today till 6:00 PM.
The preliminary exam is going to be scheduled for 1st January 2018 and the Mains for UPSC ESE will be conducted on 1st July 2018. This year UPSC has posted the vacancies in the departments including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication.
UPSC ESE 2018 Last Date To Apply
Candidates who wish to apply for UPSC ESE 2018 had a lot of days to fill their application forms. The window for 2018 UPSC ESE was opened on the 27th of September 2017, and after almost a month, the last date to fill the online forms has been set to 23rd Oct 2017. All the candidates who are between the age group of 21 to 30 years can apply for UPSC ESE 2018 exam.
Educational Qualification to apply for UPSC ESE
Candidates applying for UPSC ESE should possess a degree in Engineering from a recognized University.
Candidates will be selected based on 3 different exams namely – Preliminary Examination, Main Examination & Personality Test.
Since it is the last day to fill your forms for UPSC ESE 2018, let us inform you that applicants are required to pay Rs 200 as application fee. However, female/ SC/ ST or physically handicapped candidates are exempted from the payment of application fee for UPSC ESE 2018. You should also keep in mind that the last date of fee payment (by cash) is October 22 and for online payment, the last date to pay the application fee for UPSC ESE 2018 is October 23.
Other Important Dates
The Preliminary Exam of UPSC ESE 2018 (Objective Paper) will be held on January 1, 2018, while the Main Exam (Conventional Type Papers) will be conducted on July 1, 2018. The date for UPSC ESE 2018 Personality Test/ Interview has not been declared yet. However, it is expected that it would be held in the month of November or December 2018.
