The online application procedure for UPSC ESE 2018 exam shall start from September 23, 2017 this month. The last date to receive the application form for the UPSC ESE 2018 examination is October 23, 2017 i,e. on Monday.
The preliminary examination of UPSC ESE 2018 is scheduled to be held on January 7, 2018 next year while the mains is scheduled for July 1, 2018. Both the exams of UPSC ESE 2018 (prelims & mains) are conducted in a single day and single session.Candidates who qualify for both the UPSC ESE 2018 exams have to appear for the personality test via interview round in the month of November & December 2018 next year.
UPSC Engineering Services 2018 Exam Schedule
The UPSC ESE 2018 preliminary examination shall be conducted in two different sessions namely GS & Engineering aptitude paper 1 and engineering discipline specific paper 2. The two hour & three-hour duration of both the exams for UPSC ESE 2018 prelims are scheduled from 9:00 am to 11:00 am & from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm respectively.
This objective type preliminary examination serves as the screening test for shortlisting candidates for the UPSC ESE Mains Examination 2018 in July. The Mains of UPSC ESE 2018 is conventional type exam of subjective nature which is conducted forenoon and afternoon on a single day. The forenoon session includes engineering discipline specific paper 1 of 3 hours duration from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon while the next session is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for the engineering discipline specific paper 2.
