UPSC Mains Exams 2018 to Start From 28 September – Check Important points

UPSC 2018: Union Public Service Commission is all set for the Mains Exam for the year 2018 to start from 28 September. All the UPSC Civil Service Exam aspirants 2018, who have cleared the prelims exam will now have to appear for Mains. The UPSC Mains Exam 2018 will be started by 28 September and will end by 7 October.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Prelims qualified candidates will now be preparing for the Mains exam 2018. For all those, who have been waiting for the UPSC Civil Service Mains Exam for the year 2018 can check out some important points below.

UPSC Mains Exam 2018: Candidates to appear for Exam from 28 September

Union Public Service Commission will hold the Mains exam for the year 2018 from 28 September to 7 October. Whereas the admit cards for the UPSC Mains Exam 2018 is expected to be out on the official website in the mid-September. Almost 3 Lakh candidates appeared for the UPSC Pre-examination 2018. Whereas the Prelims Exam for the year 2018 was held all over India on 3rd June.

Now the UPSC Prelims qualified candidates will have to sit for the Mains Exam 2018 to get more close to their dream job. Although the Union Public Service Commission has declared the prelims result in the month of July for the year 2018.

Know Exam details for UPSC Mains 2018

UPSC Mains Exam candidates have to appear for 9 papers for the year 2018. UPSC qualifying papers A and B will constitute of Indian Language as per the Indian constitution has to be selected and English Comparison as well as Summary Writing respectively. Both the papers will be of a total of 300 marks each. Whereas there will be 7 writing papers in the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Mains Exam 2018.

All the 7 papers will consist of- Essay writing (Paper I), General Studies I (Paper II- History & Geography of Indian Culture & Heritage), General Studies II (Paper III- Constitution, State-order, Governance, International Relation and Social Justice), General Studies III (Paper IV- Biodiversity, Safety & disaster management, Economic Development, Environment & Technology), General Studies IV (Paper V- Integrity, Ethics and Aptitude). Whereas Paper VI and VII for the UPSC Mains Exam 2018 will be of 2 optional subjects. All the written exam paper will consist of 250 marks each.

Furthermore, the Union Public Service Commission Mains exam qualified candidates for the year 2018 will move to the final round i.e personal interview.
