Certain kinds of changes have come into the picture in relation to the UPPSC Exam Pattern which is going to be implemented from this year itself. UPSC which stands for the Union Public Service Commission which is the conducting body of the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Examination will be formulating the changes which were proposed in context to the PCS Exam and will be coming into force from this year itself.

UPPSC 2018 Exam Pattern Changed | Check Details 

The UPPSC Exam Pattern change is a move of the Yogi Government. Recently, it was the decision of the Yogi Government to take steps and thus amend the Exam Pattern which is proposed in the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit individuals to work with the Civil Administration at various posts.

The changed UPPSC Exam Pattern will be implemented from this year i.e. 2018 and the students should update them with the correct changes in the schedule and should start preparing for the changed schedule from now only in order to avoid any last minute confusion or trouble. The UPPSC had earlier sent certain proposals for the approval from the State Government in the month of February 2018.

How To Prepare For Changed UPPSC Exam Pattern 

The Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Exam is conducted by the Commission in three different stages namely the Preliminary Stage, the Mains Stage as well as the Personal Interview. The cabinet has passed the proposal for reducing the deducted marks which are deducted at the prelims stage. Now, as many as 1/3rd that is 0.33% of the total marks scored by a candidate shall be deducted for each wrong question answered by them.

Also, the Mains Exam will now have one optional subject to be appeared for except two. For GK, the candidates will now have to appear for four papers which will be of 200 marks each and a new subject, Medical Science has been introduced for UPPSC Exam 2018.

The interview will now be of 100 marks reducing the total marks of the UPPSC Exam 2018 to be 1,500 instead of 1,600. The aspiring candidates for UPPSC Exam 2018 can now focus on the theory subjects and reduce their dependency on the Personality Interview.
