UPSC Recruitment 2018: On 21st March 2018 Union Public Service Commission released an official notification for the recruitment of Various posts. All interested candidates who want to apply for the post of Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist and Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) are advised to fill the online application form. The application window is now open and all candidates can apply for the same. Here are the few important details about the UPSC Recruitment.
UPSC Recruitment 2018 – Important Details
Dates: The online application process for the recruitment of various posts in Various departments started on 21st March 2018. The last date to apply online for the various posts is 16Th April. All candidates are advised to fill the online application form on or before the last date. The last date to pay the application fee is 16th April. The admit card for the UPSC exam will release in the first week of June. The UPSC exam for various posts will be held on 29Th June 2018 and the result will be declared in the month of August.
Application Fee: Candidates who belong to general and OBC category will have to pay Rs.200 as the application fee for the UPSC recruitment 2018 exam. Candidates who belong to SC/ST/PH category will not have to pay any fee. Also, there is no fees for female candidates. Candidates can pay the examination fee via debit card, credit card or by net banking.
Age Limit: According to the official notification of UPSC for the various posts, the required age limit for the post of Geologist/Geo Physicist/ Chemist is 21-32 years. For the post of Junior Hydrogeologist the age limit required is 21-35 years.
UPSC Recruitment 2018 – Vacancy Details
There are total 70 post vacancies for the various posts in UPSC. For the recruitment of posts, UPSC will conduct the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2018. The vacancy is as follows:
– For the post of Geologist Group A- 24 posts (Geological Survey of India)
– For the post of Geophysicist Group A- 17 posts (Geological Survey of India)
– For the post of Chemist Group A- 06 posts (Geological Survey of India)
– For the post of Junior Hydrogeologist (Scientist B) Group A – 23 posts (Central Ground Water Board)
