Vivo Y53i Launched In India | Price, Features & Know If It Is Worth Buying or Not

Chinese smartphone maker company Vivo has launched the Vivo Y53i smartphone in India. This new phone is an entry-level smartphone with 4G VoLTE connectivity. Vivo Y53i Price in India

The price of Vivo Y43i in India is set at Rs.7,990. With this price tag, the phone will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 5 and the Tenor E smartphone. Xiaomi Redmi 5 is the recently launched smartphone of Xiaomi in India. But in case of specs comparison, the phone will compete with Xiaomi Redmi 5A.

Specifications of Vivo Y53i

Coming to the specifications of recently launched Vivo Y53i smartphone, the phone bears a display of 5-inches. The resolution of the screen is 540×960 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. This processor is similar to the processor in Redmi 5A. The smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 operating system which is the biggest letdown of the phone. This operating system is a two-year-old OS.

The phone has a 2GB and the internal storage of the phone is 16GB. This is also similar to the Redmi 5A 2GB RAM variant. Users can expand the internal storage via microSD card. Moving to the camera specifications of the phone, Vivo Y53i has an 8MP camera at the back and for selfies and video calling there is a 5MP front camera. The battery of the phone is 2500mAh. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port.

Vivo Y53i – Worth Buying or Not

The biggest letdown of the phone is its operating system. It still runs on Android Marshmallow. There are many phones under the price 6000 that offers Android Nougat operating system. Secondly, the price of the phone is high if we see the specs. At Rs.7,990 you can easily get Redmi 5 with Android Nougat operating system and with better camera specs. Even the Redmi 5A also offers better specs than the Vivo Y53i, such as the 13MP camera at the back, Android Nougat operating system.
