After BSNL, Now Vodafone Partners Micromax to Launch 4G Feature Phone – Bharat 2 Ultra at Just Rs 999

After the successful launch of Micromax Bharat 1 which was in collaboration with BSNL, Micromax is now in serious talks with Vodafone India for launching yet another product for the Indian citizens which will serve as the cheapest 4G smartphone. According to a report published by the Economic Times, Micromax has confirmed to launch a 4G smartphone called the Bharat 2 Ultra at the lowest price possible of Rs. 999. Further, the report reveals that Micromax will vendor its services in India via Vodafone India to launch the product by the end of November.

With the launch of Bharat 2 Ultra, Micromax targets being back to the top five smartphone seller list of India and target its long lost position with the ongoing partnership with Vodafone. Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax Informatics has claimed that by the end of this quarter they will be able to regain their position in the targeted price segment with the help of the newly-launched Bharat 2 Ultra.

Specifications and Price of Vodafone 4G Bharat 2 Ultra

With a high chance of adopting the same strategy as that of Karbonn and Airtel when they launched Karbonn A40 Indian 4G phone, the users will have to initially buy Bharat 2 Ultra at Rs. 2899. A refund, after three years of usage, will be credited to the user of the value Rs. 1900. Several other impositions include the user to recharge their numbers (Vodafone) by a minimum amount of Rs. 150 per month by which they will get data services and voice calling in their Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra. The users are promised an initial cashback of Rs. 900 and after continuing the same for another 18 months, a cashback of Rs. 1000.

Talking about the specifications for the device, Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra comes with a 4-inch WVGA display and is backed by Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. With 4GB of internal storage and 512 MB of RAM, the phone supports a 2-megapixel camera at the rear panel and 0.3-megapixel sensor on the front. The phone is boosted by a 1300 mAh battery.  Critics have acclaimed that Micromax Bharat 1 or JioPhone is a better buy than the Karbonn A40 4G smartphone keeping in mind the price and after-sales services as the main parameters.
