Vodafone India has launched a new Vodafone Prepaid plan 255 for its users with 56GB Data and Free calls to counter the monthly recharge plans of Jio and Airtel. The new Vodafone prepaid plan 255 will compete against the Jio 198 plan, Airtel 249 plan and Idea 249 Plan that offers 2GB data per day with free calls. Talking about the plan details, the 255 prepaid plan of Vodafone offers its users free calls. The calls are not unlimited as there is a weekly and daily limit on the calling. The daily calling limit in the plan 255 is 250 minutes and the weekly calling limit is 1000 minutes. During the entire validity period users can only call 300 uniques numbers and after 300 numbers there will be charges on calling. All calls are free in this plan including local, STD and roaming calls.
Talking about the data benefits of the plan 255 of Vodafone, the telecom operator is offering 56GB of 4G/3G data. The daily data usage limit in the plan is 2GB. This is not an open market plan and maybe the company will announce this plan as open market plan. The plan 255 of Vodafone is also offering 100 free SMS per day in the plan.
Vodafone 255 Plan Vs Airtel 249 Plan and Jio 198 Plan – Comparison
The new prepaid plan 255 of Vodafone competes with the Jio 198 plan and Airtel 249 plan. Airtel 249 plan and Jio 198 plan offers free unlimited calls. And both the plan are better than the Vodafone plan 255 as there is no daily or weekly calling limit on the plan. Vodafone only offers 250 free minutes per day and 1000 free minutes per week while Airtel and Jio don’t offer any such restriction and this is the best part of Jio and Airtel.
Talking about the data benefits Jio plan is best as it gives unlimited data usage even after the daily usage limit. Airtel and Vodafone are only giving 2GB daily data usage limit. All these plans offer free SMS to anywhere in India. Jio plan 198 is available on pan India basis.
