Volvo XC40 SUV is expected to be launched soon. But before launch, the leaked pictures of XC40 SUV has created much buzz. It has been reported that after the teasing, Volvo’s XC40 SUV is expected to be revealed shortly. Once revealed, the compact luxury SUV will make its way to India soon. According to report, the cabin of the Volvo XC 40 will almost similar to the line-up but still the Volvo XC40 SUV will carry numerous attractive feature.
Volvo XC 40 Global reveal
As per reports, the SUV -Volvo XC40, is going to be revealed in a while, but the images that have been leaked way before the launch show that the design stick of the SUV -Volvo XC40 is very close to last year’s Volvo 40.1 Concept car.
The SUV -Volvo XC40 is expected to have a big touchscreen and may come with a sleek style as seen in the Volvo’s new line of cars – such as the Volvo XC 90, Volvo XC 60 and the Volvo S90. The new SUV- Volvo XC40 is expected to come to India in the coming year. The Volvo XC40 will be positioned against the likes of the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and the new Mercedes-Benz GLA.
The SUV -Volvo XC40 is also expected to carry an attractive price of Rs 28 lakh. Apart from the India launch, the SUV -Volvo XC40 will also be launched in Europe and the XC40 crossover model will take on the other crossovers such as the Audi Q2 and the BMW X2.
Engine and global launch
The Volvo XC40 is expected to come with a three-cylinder, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. The Volvo XC40 is supposed to be based on the company’s all-pervasive Compact Modular Architecture. The XC40 may get Drive-E engines that are used for the higher models.
Speculations are that the Volvo XC40 may also have a plug-in hybrid model which may come under a T5-badge. It is expected that the Volvo XC40 may go on sale by next year. The Volvo XC 40, after the global launch, is expected to arrive in India within the first half of 2018.
Specifications of the Volvo XC 40
As per reports, the Volvo XC40 will offer a 5-seater cabin layout. The seating layout has been designed as per the current Volvo models. The Volvo XC 40 will carry the signature vertical touchscreen infotainment system and a multi-functional steering wheel that has been redesigned. The three-spoke has been redesigned for the Volvo XC 40 SUV.
Interior material appears premium and the contoured seats looks nice. The Volvo XC 40 SUV gets wide centre armrest that is comfortable for the driver as well as for the co-passenger while it gets numerous cubby holes for storage purpose. The Volvo XC 40 SUV gets conventional door handles.

As per the video, the Volvo XC40 looks similar to Volvo’s concept car – Volvo 40.1. The Volvo 40.1 was unveiled last year in May. The front of the SUV Volvo XC40 looks pretty muscular. The Volvo XC40 gets Thor’s hammer-shaped LED DRLs. The wide upright gloss black finished grille adds to its appearance.
The Volvo XC40 gets an edgy bumper which is merged with horizontal foglamps enclosure. From the side, the Volvo XC40 SUV sports a muscular look. The Volvo XC40 gets a strong shoulder line, a floating roof design with a blackened roof. The vertical LED tail lamps setup placed at the rear end of the Volvo XC40 SUV and the roof-mounted spoiler adds to the sportier and muscular looks of the Volvo XC40 SUV.
