WhatsApp Business Account to launch in India
India holding a large scope and opportunity for business and commerce, many international players are making influx here. WhatsApp is one of those international companies that are piloting its new business mobile app by the name of WhatsApp Business Account. There are many renowned e-commerce companies and startups that are participating in the pilot project of WhatsApp Business Account in India. Nothing has been officially declared by the WhatsApp as of now because its upcoming business app will be an experiment in India and will begin its operations in a full-fledged way only if it receives a good response in the Indian market.
Earlier, this year, a few companies like MakeMyTrip, BookMyShow, and Goibibo declared their tie-up with the WhatsApp Business Account for its launch in India. The revelation of the WhatsApp Business Account’s soon roll out as a pilot project in India was made on the companies official website, in the FAQ section of ‘Chatting with businesses’, WhatsApp shared information on its business-centric mobile app, which will soon hot the floor.
Feature of the upcoming WhatsApp Business Account
As per the information shared in the FAQ section of the company’s website, WhatsApp Business Account app will have three types of business accounts including an account that will be verified, a confirmed account and a business account.
The first one, which will be the verified account, will have a checkmark badge in green color on its profile and will be verified by WhatsApp only. However, the second account, which will be a confirmed account, will have a checkmark badge in grey color on its profile and the users WhatsApp (mobile) number has to be the same as to their business account. The last will be a business account that will have a question mark badge in grey color on its profile. In this type of the account, the user using the WhatsApp Business Account app will neither be confirmed by the WhatsApp nor will have any verification by it. The WhatsApp Business Account app will also have tools to block the business account or to report them as spam within the WhatsApp chat.
