The Whatsapp users in India can now transfer and receive money from the app. This can be done via app by using UPI. UPI is Unified Payments Interface. Whatsapp Payment Feature – How It Works

You can now send money to anyone who is in your contacts via Whatsapp Payment Feature. The Payment feature in Whatsapp can be accessed in the Setting option. In the setting, page click on the Payments options. After that a new verification page will be open and where users will have to enter the mobile number linked to the bank account.

If you are presently using the UPI will not have to link the bank account again. In this case, users will have to verify their number with OTP and then have to create a 4-digit UPI PIN. This UPI Pin will be required for every transaction. After that, the bank accounts will be displayed on the payment page. This is the whole process. Now to send money to anyone, users will have to open the chat window of the person and then click on the attachment icon or the paper clip icon (the icon which is on the right side of the chat window). After clicking on the payment button, a new page will be open where you can enter the amount.
