After the enormous and astonishing success of the movie Baahubali 2, Bollywood fans have started expecting a lot from the Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight which is set to hit the silver screens on the 23rd of this month.

Baahubali: The Beginning as well as Baahubali 2: The Conclusion registered a massive success globally. According to reports, the movie created rage by minting over Rs 1500 crores (INR) worldwide. The movie was able to attract such a massive crowd because of curiosity propelled by the question, “Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?”
Top Scorers on Box Office
- Baahubali 2: The Conclusion magnum opus by SS Rajamouli has become the first Indian film to break the Rs 1,500 crore mark in global box office collections.
- On number 2 stands Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal, with total worldwide collections of around Rs 1,200+ crore. Dangal’s collection was fuelled by a record run in China. Surprisingly the box office figures soared by nearly Rs 500 crore after the release in China.
- Rajkumar Hirani, PK, another Aamir Khan-starrer, was India’s highest-earning film. It was, in fact, the first Indian film to gross 7 billion worldwide. Currently, on number three it holds a record with a worldwide box office collection of Rs 792 crore followed by Baahubali: The Beginning, with Rs 650 crore earnings.

Salman Khan, who is currently promoting Tubelight told at a media interaction that he doubts whether Tubelight is going to break the record. He also said that he doesn’t feel any pressure, as long as no one loses money – any movie is great.
What record even Bahubali 2 couldn’t break?
The only record that Baahubali 2 wasn’t able to break was the first-day collection. Released in 2014, Shah Rukh starter Happy New Year retains this record with a box office collection of 42.62 crore whereas Baahubali 2 was able to churn only Rs 41 crore on the first day.
