According to sources, a man in his 30’s kidnapped a girl from Sector 20, Panchkula on gunpoint and took her to a secluded place. He made her drink liquor and raped her at gunpoint. After the crime, the man hired an auto and instructed the auto driver to take her home. The victim hails from Jaipur and is staying in PG in Zirakpur. The Whole Scenario | How she got kidnapped?
The girl, who is an engineering student went to a market in Panchkula with a male friend in his car. Her friend went out of the car to purchase something from a shop. The victim was waiting for her male friend in the Hyundai I-10 car. Suddenly, the accused tapped the window of the car pointing a revolver on her head and forcibly occupied the driver seat.
After sitting into the car he even threaten the girl saying that he has just murdered a policeman and if she tried to raise an alarm, he will do the same to her. The accused then drove the car through sector 21, 25, 26 in Panchkula and stopped the car at a secluded place.
When the victim’s friend called her
When the male friend of the victim, came out of the shop and didn’t find his car on the spot, he made a call to her. But the accused asked her to make a story that her aunt has fallen ill and she has been driven to her home in the car.
After this call, he bundled her into the boot of the car on gunpoint. The victim was then forced to drink liquor and was even beaten brutally by the accused. She was raped in the car and after the crime, the accused hired her an auto asking the auto driver to drop her at her home.
Action by the police
Once the girl was released by the accused, she went to the women police station in Mansa Devi Complex with her male friend and narrated the whole incident to the police. After lodging the FIR, police has started the search for the accused. The accused has been charged under IPC sections 365 (kidnapping), section 376 (rape) and section 394 (voluntarily causing hurt while committing robbery). The hunt for the accused is still on by the police in and around the city.
