Xiaomi Mi 8 Launched With IR Face Unlock & MIUI 10 – Price, Specifications & Features

Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Mi 8 smartphone in China at the Xiaomi annual product launch event. Mi 8 of Xiaomi is the latest flagship phone of the company. The phone comes with premium specifications and features. Some of the key features of the Xiaomi Mi 8 smartphone includes Dual Rear Camera setup, IR face Unlock feature and a 20MP front camera. Along with the Mi 8, Xiaomi also launched the Mi 8 Explorer Edition which comes with the in-display fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Price

Xiaomi Mi 8 is launched in three variants and Mi 8 Explorer is launched in a single variant. The 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant of Mi 8 is priced at CNY 2699 which is approximately equal to Rs.28,600. The 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 2999 which is approximately equal to Rs,31,600.

The 6GB RAM variant with 256GB storage Mi 8 is priced at CNY 3299 which is approximately equal to Rs.34,800. The Mi 8 Explorer variant is priced at CNY 3699 which is approximately equal to Rs.39,000 and this comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage. There are no details about the launch of Mi 8 in India and in other countries yet but it is expected that soon it will be launched in India.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Specifications

Display, Processor & Operating System: The new smartphone Mi 8 comes with a 6.21-inches display with an aspect ratio of 18:7:9. The screen resolution of the phone is 1080×2248 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It runs on Android Oreo operating system and MIUI 10.

RAM & Storage: Mi 8 smartphone comes with 6GB/8GB RAM. The 8GB RAM is limited to the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The internal storage of the phone is 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.

Camera Specifications: The phone comes with a dual camera at the back with a 12MP primary sensor and a 12MP secondary sensor. The rear camera comes with AI portraits and AI scene detection. For selfies and video calling, there is a 20MP camera on the front.

Battery & Other Features: Mi 8 gets its power from a 3400mAh battery and Mi 8 Explorer has a 3000mAh battery. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor on Mi 8 Explorer while Mi 8 has a rear fingerprint sensor and IR face unlock feature.
