Xiaomi Redmi 5 is Coming To India in February | Check Price & Specifications

After Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4, Now Redmi 5 to be launched in India.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 will soon hit the Global markets. According to the rumours, Xiaomi will launch the Redmi 5 smartphone in the global markets in the second half of February. And the biggest thing is that the phone will launch with LTE Band 20. To recall Xiaomi Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus was launched in China last month. These two smartphones are the budget affordable smartphone from the company with 18:9 display.

According to the recent rumours, there is no information about the launch of Redmi 5 Plus. This leak is similar to the last leak about the launch date of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone – the successor of Redmi Note 4. According to that leak Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 5 smartphone in the second quarter of 2018.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Launch Date in India

There is huge fan following of the Xiaomi Smartphones in India and being the primary market for the Chinese Smartphone manufactures the company may launch the Redmi 5 smartphone first in the Indian Market.
So if we believed the rumours of the launch date of Redmi 5 smartphone then there is one month from now for the launch of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Smartphone. There were rumours in the past that Xiaomi Redmi 5 is the successor of the most popular smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

Price of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Smartphone & Redmi 5 Plus

In China, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone was launched in two variants. The first one is with 2GB RAM & 16GB storage and the price is CNY 799 which is approximately equal to Rs.7,800 and the second variant is with 3GB RAM & 32GB storage and the price of the phone is CNY 899 which is approximately equal to Rs.8,800.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus also comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and the price is CNY 999 which is approximately equal to Rs.9700 and the second variant with 4GB RAM & 64GB storage with price tag of CNY 1,299 which is approximately equal to Rs.12,700

Specifications of Xiaomi Redmi 5 & Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus

Xiaomi Redmi 5 smartphone comes with a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels and the aspect ratio of the screen is 18:9. Redmi 5 Plus has a larger display with 5.99 inches and the resolution of the screen is 1080×2160 pixels. Redmi 5 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 and the Redmi 5 Plus is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. Both phones run on Android Nougat OS with MIUI 9.

Redmi 5 comes with 2GB/3GB RAM and Redmi 5 plus comes with 3GB/4GB RAM. The internal storage of the former is 16GB & 32GB while the latter one has 32GB & 64GB. Coming to the camera specs, both the phones have the same camera. At the back, there is a 12MP camera with LED flash and on the front for selfies, there is a 5MP camera with soft LED selfie flash.

At the back panel, there is a fingerprint sensor on both phones below the camera. There is a 3300mAh battery on Redmi 5 and on Redmi 5 Plus there is a 4000mAh battery and both phones come with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and Micro USB Port.
