Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 All Set to Launch Soon with 18:9 Display | Know Price & Specifications

With all the major phone makers launching at least one product with 18;9 display, its now time that the major Chinese phone-maker come down to business to flood the market with the newly listed Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.  With Xiaomi’s approach to make the bezel-less display technology available to the masses, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, the second product by Xiaomi for 18:9 display will soon be available for purchase at an affordable price.

In a recent leak by the Chinese Certification website, TENAA, the rumor of Xiaomi launching another smartphone in the affordable price range makes us believe that after Xiaomi Redmi Note 4’s great success, it is inevitable to see another product in the series coming to the market shelves. With a Black and White+Gold color option, the phone is expected to be a great contender for the larger sized mid-range devices.

Redmi Note 5 – Expected Price and Specifications

The device is claimed to offer a 5.9-inch, 18:9 aspect ratio screen which will have FHD+ IPS LCD screen with narrow bezels around the corner. The Redmi Note 5 will have a hybrid sim slot by which one can place wither two SIM cards or one SIM card and memory card at a time. According to reports, the Redmi Note 5 device will be backed by either MediaTek Helio X25 SoC or Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC bet on the market, paired with either 3 GB or 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32 GB or 64 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot to expand the storage. The handset by Redmi will be boosted by a 4000 mAh battery and has claims of ‘eight-day battery life’ in China.

With a dual rear camera setup, Redmi Note 5 will have the same setup as that of Xiaomi Mi A1. Dual RGB sensor with one wide angle lens and a telephoto lens are some of the confirmed camera features for the handset. The listing says that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 measures 158.5×75.4x8mm and weighs roughly 180 grams which is very light in the provided battery segment. The smartphone will be priced at 999 Yuan ($150) for the 3GB RAM variant, 1299 Yuan ($196) for the 3GB RAM variant and, finally, 1699 Yuan ($256) for the high-end one featuring 4GB RAM to its users.
