Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 the successor to the most loved phone Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is expected to launch in the month of January 2018. As of now, there is no news, confirmation about the exact date of launch of Redmi Note 5 smartphone by the company. Still, it is not clear when Redmi Note 5 see the light of day. But it is expected that the company will unveil the smartphone in January 2018 just like Redmi Note 4 was unveiled in January 2017. Based on this we can expect that the phone may be launch by the company early January 2018. If it is launched then it will directly compete with Honor 7X smartphone, Lenovo K8 Note & Moto G6 Plus smartphones.
Specifications of Redmi Note 5
Recently Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 images with some specifications listed on the Weibo. Some of the specifications also listed online in the Chinese language. If the specification is listed on Weibo then it is almost confirmed that that the phone will soon be launched. According to the listing, the phone will have a 5.99-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 as compared to 5.5-inch display which was on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The phone will come with a bezel-less display which makes it taller as compared to its predecessor. The resolution will remain same as 1080×2160 pixels.
According to some other specifications leaked over the Internet, Xiaomi Note 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. This processor is basically found in the mid-range smartphones. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will have 3GB and 4GB RAM variant and company may not launch the 2GB RAM variant. The internal storage of the phone will be 64GB and 32GB. The storage is similar which is on Redmi Note 4.
Moving to the camera, this time the phone may have a dual rear camera and it is expected that dual rear camera of the phone will have both 12MP primary sensor & 12M secondary sensor. The front camera of the phone may also have a dual sensor or a 5mP sensor. Redmi Note 5 smartphone will have the same battery which was on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 i.e 4000mAh. The phone will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS with company own MIUI 9 OS.
