Xiaomi will soon launch the Xiaomi Redmi S2 smartphone in India. Currently, all eyes are at the launch event of the Xiaomi Mi 6X smartphone which is scheduled to be launch in China on April 19. The Xiaomi Mi 6X smartphone will launch in India as Xiaomi Mi A2 and it will be the successor of the Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone. The phone will first launch in China then it will make its way to India.
Well, it is expected that before the arrival of the phone Mi 6X in India, the Redmi S2 will make its way first to India. This year Xiaomi has launched three smartphones in India. The three new phones of Xiaomi launched in India this year are Xiaomi Redmi 5, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Redmi Note 5 is the successor of the India most loved smartphone Redmi Note 4. Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in China as Redmi Note 5.
Xiaomi Redmi S2 Smartphone Specifications
According to the reports of the XDA Developers, the specifications of the Xioami Redmi S2 has been revealed based on the firmware obtained by Funky Huawei. According to the firmware files, the upcoming phone Redmi S2 will have an HD+ display and the resolution of the phone will be 720×1440 pixels. However, the size of the screen is not mentioned but the display will have an aspect ratio of 18:9.
The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. This processor is similar to the processor on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5 plus and Mi Max 2 etc. According to the firmware files, the smartphone will have one 16GB internal storage variant while the RAM on the phone is not yet disclosed. But since the phone has a 16GB Storage then it can be expected that there may be one 2GB RAM variant.
Talking about the camera specifications of the phone, Xiaomi Redmi S2 will have a dual rear camera setup with one 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor or 12-megapixel OmniVision OV12A10 sensor. The phone will have a 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 secondary sensor. It also supports face unlock feature. The report of the firmware also suggests a battery of 3080mh and the phone will have Android Oreo operating system. According to the reports the phone will launch in India along with the launch in China.
