Yamaha R15 V3.0 Launch Date & Price Revealed | Spied in a Video In India

The Yamaha R15 is one of the first bikes in the country to offer the daily commuter a hint of enthusiasm. It was launched at a time when there wasn’t much competition in the 1 lakh Rupee segment apart from the Royal Enfield motorcycles which weren’t in any direct competition to the bike.

The Yamaha R15 hasn’t been updated in a long-long time but it’s time that it gets an upgrade. The all new Yamaha R15 v3.0 has been spotted on video on Indian roads thanks to our favourite channel Powerdrift. The new v3.0 of the Yamaha R15 has already been launched in several markets outside India and the Indian launch is expected to happen around January, 2018.

Features of the new Yamaha R15 v3.0:

The feature that makes the Yamaha R15 special is the full fledged fairing and we are happy to report that it gets an all new fairing design. There are enough cosmetic changes and it looks like a fresh new motorcycle. The dimensions on the v3.0 of the Yamaha R15 are pretty much the same with the seat height going up by fifteen millimetres. The new version is 1900 mm in length and 1135 mm in height.

The inverted front folks and the slipper clutch might be given a miss in the Indian model of the Yamaha R15 as it is very important for the company to price the bike competitively. There will be two models on sale in India of which one will come with optional ABS (Anti Braking System). ABS will become mandatory in India by April, 2018 and that is the reason why all the manufacturers are keen to equip their vehicles with the new technology. The all new v3.0 Yamaha R15 will come with a new 155cc engine that Yamaha has developed. This engine produces 19.31BHP of power and 14.37 NM of torque.

Price and Launch Date of the new Yamaha R15 v3.0:

The new Yamaha R15 v3.0 might make its debut in January 2018 in India with an expected price of 1.2-1.4 lakhs. This will put the bike head to head with the Bajaj Dominar, NS200 and the Honda CBR. The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is hoping to stir things up in the 1-1.5 lakh segment.
