Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 to be Launched in India on January 8 | Check Details

It has been reported that the Japanese two-wheeler maker – Yamaha, is likely to launch the new YZF-R15 V3.0 in India this year. The offering from Yamaha will come with a new design in addition to new mechanical components. According to the report, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 is expected to be launched on January 8. The new bike will get unveiled in the in the Indian market in the second week of January and the company is hopeful of capturing a significant market share from the same.

The updated Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 has been spotted in India several times. It has also been reported that the updated motorcycle has started arriving at the authorised Yamaha dealerships already. It has been mentioned in the report that select dealerships in the country have already started accepting bookings for the new Yamaha YZF R15 V3.0 unofficially.

Price of the updated Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0

The updated Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 is expected to be expensive than the current model. According to the report, the fully-faired 150cc Yamaha motorcycle is likely to be launched in India at a price of around Rs 1.25 lakh. This expected price is a little higher than the currently sold R15 V2.0 in India.

The spy images of the India-spec R15 V3.0 reveal that the updated India-spec model is different from the model which is sold in the international markets. The updated model comes with whistles and bells. One of the prominent changes in the updated Yamaha bike is the change in the forks. The India-spec model of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 gets the conventional telescopic forks and misses out on the inverted front forks.

Design and other features of the updated Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0

The design of the India-spec new Yamaha R15 V3.0 is almost similar to the current model that is sold in the international market. While the international-spec model comes with new broader fairing, the India-spec model features a similar fairing that comes in the current model sold in India.

One of the major attractions in the new 2018 Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 is the all-new liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel injected 155cc engine. The unit comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and will churn out 19.7bhp and 14.7Nm of torque. It is expected that the India-spec model of the Yamaha bike may miss out on slipper clutch.
