So for the hard core Punjabi music lovers who love to hear the beat and the dhol, singer Geeta Zaildar is back with his latest foot taping number Ziddi Jatt, a song that portrays the age old lover’s chronicle wherein the boy expresses his eternal love for his beloved even after separation.
Geeta Zaildar’s Ziddi Jatt an Eternal Saga
Penned by Geeta Zaildar himself, the song opens with him in the picture who is being watched by his beloved on the TV screen after a brief chat on the phone. Ziddi Jatt’s opening phrase by Geeta Zaildar is ‘Main kaudi khed da hunda si yaraan velliyan de naal, peengh jhootdi hundi si tu saheliyaan de naal (I used to play Kabaddi with my mates and you too used to take swings with your buddies). It describes how they fell in love during their teenage.
This commencing couplet is followed by the tragic incident that separates both of them. The last couplet ‘Dekh ajj tak tere Ziddi Jatt nu kisey naal pyar na hoya (See your stubborn Jatt was never able to love anyone afterwards) showcases the commitment of the lover who never gave his beloved’s place in his heart to someone else.
