7th Pay Commission | Will Arun Jaitley Allow the Pay Hike of 50 Lakh CG Employees? – Latest Update

In respect to the continuous efforts of the 7th Pay commission, the government has flagged a green signal for increasing the minimum pay for the Central Government Employees. According to the sources, Modi Sarkaar is planning to declare their final decision on the matter by January 2018. With no further notifications from the 7th Pay commission and the government regarding the minimum pay hike, the central government employees are freaking out.

Government Disappointing the 50 Lakh Central Government Employees 

It has been months since the 7th Pay commission has recommended the government to increase the basic pay of the central government employees from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 21,000. Not only this, 7th Pay commission has also advised the government to raise the Fitment Factor from 2.67 to 3 assuring the Pension hike for the pensioners. Despite all efforts, the process of the Pay hike is hanging on the edge of the completion.

The NAC meeting that was supposed to happen in the Month of October was delayed without any explanation fueling the disappointment among the central government employees. Also, since Mr. Narender Modi has passed the norm of increasing the pay hike of the central government employees on the recommendation of 7th Pay commission, since then there has been no notification regarding the same.

There have been some major changes that were initiated by the 7th Pay commission and still, the implementation is becoming a major concern. The Rajasthan government has implemented the Minimum Pay hike for all their employees and yet the central government is lagging behind in pressing the issue.

Mr. Arun Jaitley Says, Pay Hikes Will be Implemented By January 2018 

Recently, Mr. Arun Jaitley said that the minimum pay hike recommended by 7th Pay commission will be implemented by January 2018 after the final report is analyzed by the Union Cabinet. The report has to be prepared by NAC committee and till now there has been no word on the meeting schedule for the NAC. Earlier NAC was supposed to meet in October to prepare and analyze the reports of 7th Pay commission.

In light of current events and issues, the 7th Pay commission has been in limelight for the recommendation of Minimum Pay hike and increase in the Fitment Factor. With no implementation status out, the 50 Lakh Government Employees still awaiting the decision to be implemented.
