Maruti Suzuki has launched Maruti Suzuki Celerio facelift in India. With the launch of the updated variant of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki India ltd has hit the market again for a tough competition to rival carmakers. As per the sales figures for the month of August, Maruti Suzuki rules the list of 10 top-selling passenger cars in India. Seven of the Maruti Suzuki make cars are there in the list followed by Hyundai Motors with three cars in the list.
Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Celerio facelift much before the expected launch of the all-new variant the Celerio X. It was reported, that the details of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X were leaked online, much before its launch that shocked the company. Launched at a starting price of Rs 4.15 lakh (ex-showroom), the updates in the recently launched new Maruti Suzuki Celerio facelift includes refreshed interiors, better safety technology onboard as well as revamped exteriors.
Changed features in the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Celerio
On the outside, the new Celerio facelift gets a chrome lining on the bonnet, a sporty mesh grille, restyled front and rear bumpers wherein the front bumper gets redesigned fog-lamp housing. With the new black and greige dual-tone theme, the cabin of the new Celerio facelift is not only more appealing but also adds to the fresh outlook of the interior.
The combination of door trim fabric design and the silver accents complete the interior makeover of the new Celerio facelift. The abstract patterns on the seats of the new Celerio facelift also liven up the cabin.
Specifications of the new Celerio facelift
Safety is the real bonus for the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio buyers. According to reports, Maruti Suzuki Celerio has become company’s seventh model to meet new car safety norms. Pocket-friendly hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Celerio gets the same safety update that is included in the upper variants in Maruti Suzuki line-up including compact crossover S-Cross, hot hatchback Baleno, MUV Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki’s prime sedan Ciaz, besides Ignis hatchback and the new Dzire that was launched recently.
The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio facelift comes with a driver’s airbags as a standard fitment. In addition to this, ABS and passenger airbags are being offered as an option on all variants.
Mechanical changes in the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio
The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio facelift will not get any mechanical changes. The new Celerio will continue with the same 998 cc K10 petrol engine that powers the existing Maruti Suzuki Celerio. The petrol engine produces 67 bhp and 90 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and the Celerio also gets an AGS (Auto gear shift) unit that comes as an option.
