Samsung Galaxy S9 | Know Launch Date, Price, Full Specifications & Features

Samsung Galaxy S9 is already in news when It has just been a month or two for Samsung to have launched a flagship device Note 8 in the market. The news comes that Samsung has bought the entire first batch of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 for the Galaxy S9. Samsung is going to use its dominance in the Android Smart Phone world by buying all the 845 Soc’s for the Galaxy S9 and leaving other manufacturers like LG and Sony no choice but to delay their products.

If history repeats itself, we weren’t quite sure that would happen so soon. In 2017, Samsung bought the entire first batch of Snapdragon’s 835 for the Samsung Galaxy S8 exactly a year before the Galaxy S9and left LG’s flagship G6 to use 2016’s Snapdragon 821 Soc. The other manufacturers delayed their product so there was a decent supply of the Snapdragon 835 available. It seems like 2018 will be no different. Samsung buying all the 845 Soc for the Galaxy S9 means there would be Snapdragon 845 in the LG G7.

Reports also come in that the Samsung Galaxy S9 might come a little early this year. The Samsung Galaxy S8 was launched in March this year and it will be a good bet if Samsung Galaxy S9 sees the light of the day at MWC in February 2018 that is to be held in Barcelona. That could mean that other companies like LG might have enough supply of the 845 Soc for the LG G7 in time. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors are the only flagship processor’s available for top end android phones like the Samsung Galaxy S9 and therefore are the most essential part of a flagship device.

Features of the Samsung Galaxy S9:

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will reportedly carry the same curved edge design that is exclusive to Samsung devices. The screen will be an AMOLED 18:9 panel with even smaller bezels. The powerhouse of the Samsung Galaxy S9 has already been confirmed to be the Snapdragon 845. The dual cameras of the note 8 will finally make way to the Galaxy S9 next year. Wireless charging and water resistance are pretty much a given for the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Price and Launch Date of the Samsung Galaxy S9:

The phone will come in the usual two variants with differing screen sizes namely the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+. The Galaxy S9 carries the model name SM-G960 and the Galaxy S9+ will be the SM-G965. The phone will launch in February next year at the MWC in Barcelona. Expect the Samsung Galaxy S9 to cost around 58000INR when it comes to India.
