SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has issued a notification calling candidates to register for SSC JE Group B (Junior Engineers Non-Gazzeted) officer recruitment. As per the SSC notification, exam will be held in January 2018 but the registrations for the same will be closed in November 2017. SSC JE Recruitment Exam 2017-18 – Important Dates
SSC in its latest notification has given the dates and important instructions to candidates to apply for SSC JE Recruitment. The exam for the same will be held from 5th Jan 2018 to 8th Jan, 2018.
The last date to apply for SSC JE is 15th November. The forms can be filled online at ssc.nic.in. It may be noted that candidates will have to fill an application fee of Rs. 100 along with the form. However, this fee has been exempted for female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen category who wish to apply for SSC JE recruitment.
The areas under which the SSC JE exam will be held include – civil, mechanical, electrical, quantity surveying and contract engineers.
SSC JE Group B Exam Details
As it has been mentioned that this SSC JE recruitment is for Group B i.e. non gazetted category, so the exam for the same will consist of 2 parts. One part is the computer-based objective exam and the second one consists of writing.
It may be further be noted that SSC JE recruitment exam will have Paper 1 that will contain questions related to General Awareness, General Intelligence Reasoning, General Engineering whereas Paper 2 will contain questions from general engineering. The duration of this SSC JE Recruitment exam will be two hours.
Once you have filled the form for SSC JE Recruitment exam 2017, you may expect the admit cards to be out in the month of December. After that the exam will be held in January. For the result of SSC JE exam 2017, candidates might have to wait till April 2018.
Another good thing to be noted about this SSC notification is that the candidates who get selected as SSC JE will get salaries according to 7th pay commission. As mentioned in the official notification, the level 6 grade for SSC JE recruitment the salaries are from Rs.35400 – 112400 of pay matrix.
