NEET PG 2018 Exam | 5800 More Post Graduation Seats Availed in 2017

The word is out confirming the news that now 5800 new seats for the NEET PG 2018 (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) have been added to medical colleges across the country. As per the ministry of health and welfare, there are in total 479 medical colleges operating in different states of the country with the capacity of 67352 MBBS seats for the students. In past three years to increase the availability of faculty and specialist doctors, the ministry of health has increased the MBBS seats by 13,004 across the medical colleges of the country. Stepping ahead on the same cause, this year the government has increased the post-graduation seats by 5,800 in different colleges available in the country.

Government to Increase Post Graduation seats by 5,800 Through NEET PG 2018 Exam 

Union Minister of the state for Health and Welfare has written to Rajya Sabha demanding the increase in a number of doctors in the country. As per the survey, the doctor-population ratio of the country is very disturbing and helping the ratio to improve the government has finally increased the post-graduation seats by 5,800. The seats were increased with the sole purpose of improving the doctor-population ratio in the country and avail the sufficient number of teachers. The post-graduation seats in different medical colleges are now increased through NEET PG 2018 exam. Now 5,800 more students can get PG seats in different medical colleges across the country.

Centrally Sponsered Scheme To Establish New Medical Colleges 

According to the latest news reports, the government is going to begin the new centrally-sponsored scheme in which the proposal of establishment of the new medical colleges was proposed in 58 different districts across 20 states in the country. This proposal includes 20 under-served areas of the country.

After increasing the number of post-graduation seats in medical colleges by the number of 5,800, the government is planning to establish new medical colleges attached to the district or referral hospitals. The minimum standard requirement (MSRs) for the medical colleges including the requirements of land, staff, faculty, bed strength and other infrastructure requirements has been rationalized to avail the setting up of the colleges.

Now, 5,800 more students can get the admission to different post-graduation courses in the medical field through NEET PG 2018 exam conducted every year.
