SSC CPO Recruitment 2018 (ASI & SI) – Update on Detailed Syllabus, Weightage & More

SSC CPO Recruitment 2018: Every year Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CPO Exam (Central Police Organization) for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, CAPF and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. This year, the online application process for the SSC CPO exam was started on 3rd March 2018 and the application process closed on 2nd April 2018. Every year a huge number of candidates applied for the SSC CPO exam. Here we are sharing the Detailed Syllabus and Weightage of the SSC CPO Exam Paper. SSC CPO Exam 2018 is scheduled to be held from 4th June 2018 to 10th June 2018.

The exam will be conducted in two Tier. Tier 1 is an objective type CBT and Tier 2 is also. But after clearing the Tier 1 of the SSC CPO exam, Candidates will have to go for the PST/PET exam and all those who clear the medical exam will go for the Tier 2 exam. The Paper 1 or the Tier 1 of the Staff Selection Commission CPO exam will have questions from Reasoning & Intelligence, General Knowledge, English, and Aptitude. Each section will have 50 questions and total 200 question. Candidates will only get 120 minutes to solve the paper.

General Awareness Syllabus For SSC CPO Exam: In this section, there will be 3 to 5 questions from Constitution, Judiciary of India. 10 to 13 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Bio, Nutrition, etc. 6 to 7 questions from History of India, Freedom Struggle etc. 5 to 6 questions from Geography. 4 to 5 questions from Economy (World & India) etc. 10 to 11 questions from News, India news, International News, Schemes & Policies, Events and Days etc.

Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus: In this section, there will be 5 to 6 questions on Ratio and Proportion. 4 to 6 questions on Fractions, BODMAS, Decimals. 0 to 1 question from Mixture Problems. 0 to 1 question from Number system. 4 to 6 questions from Algebra (Equations & Indentites). 4 to 5 questions based on Profit & Loss. 2 to 4 questions based on Average & percentage. 1 to 2 questions from Time & Work. Up to 2 questions from Simple and Compound Interest. 0 to 2 questions from Time, Distance & Speed. 3 to 5 questions from Mensuration. 4 to 6 questions from Geometry. 2 to 4 questions from Trigonometry and 7 to 10 questions from Data Interpretation.

English Comprehension Syllabus For Staff Selection Commission Exam: In this section, there will be 20 to 30 questions from Vocabulary, Synonym & Antonym, Spellings, Idioms & Meaning. 8 to 10 questions based on Fill in the blanks, Error Finding and Phrase Replacement. And at last 5 to 10 questions based on reading comprehension.

General Intelligence & Reasoning Syllabus For SSC Central Police Organisation Exam: As per Staff Selection Commission, in this section, there will be 5 to 7 questions from Analogy. 7 to 9 questions based on Symbolic, Figure and semantic classification. 3 to 5 questions based on number series, figural series. 2 to 3 questions from coding and decoding. 1 to 2 questions from blood relation and family tree. 0 to 2 questions from Ranking. 4 to 5 questions based on jumbled words, sequence, matrix and word formation. 1 to 3 questions from Direction and Distance. 4 to 5 questions from Venn Diagrams. 1 to 3 questions based on missing number. 4 to 6 questions based on Puzzles. 5 to 7 questions from Cubes, Dices & Arthimatic Problems.
