AFCAT Exam 2018: Indian Air Force has released the official notification for the AFCAT Exam 2018. The official notification is released by the Indian Air Force on the official website. Candidates who want to apply for the AFCAT Exam (Air Force Common Admission Test) 2018 are advised to read the official notification on the official website and apply online once the application begins. Here are the full details.

AFCAT Exam 2018 – Important Dates

Indian Air Force has invited online application from the candidates for the courses starting in July 2017 for the SSC (Short Service Commission) and PC (Permanent Commission). As of now, the official notification is released by the IAF and the application process will start on the 16th of June.

Candidates who want to apply or want to give the AFCAT 2018 exam can apply online on the official website for the AFCAT 2018 exam. The last date to fill the application form is 15th July. All candidates are advised to fill the application form on or before the last date.

AFCAT Exam 2018 – Application Fee & Age Limit

Application Fee: For the AFCAT Entry, the application fee is Rs.250. This is the examination fee. There is no application fee for the candidates who are applying for the Meteorology entry and NCC Special entry.

Age Limit: The Age limit for the Flying Branch is 20-24 years. For the Ground Duty technical branch the age limit is 20-26 years. For the Ground Duty Non Technical, the age limit is 20-26 years. For the NCC Special Entry Flying Branch, the age limit is 20-24 years and for the Meteorology Entry Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch, the age limit is 20-26 years.

AFCAT Exam 2018 – Vacancies and Other Details

Vacancies: For the AFCAT Entry, there are 42 vacancies (SSC) for the Flying branch, AE(L) – PC-22, SSC-30 vacancies and AE(M) – PC-10, SSC-14 vacancies. For the Ground Duty technical in the AFCAT Entry there are Admin – PC-8, SSC-12 vacancies, Logistics – PC-01, SSC- 4 vacancies, Accounts – PC-3, SSC-5 and Education – PC-3, SSC-4 vacancies. For the NCC Special Entry in the Flying Branch, 10% seats out of the CDSE Branch. And for the Meteorology Branch, there are PC-10 and SSC-14 vacancies.

Other Important Details: Candidates are advised to maintain a unique email id and mobile number active till the selection process for the AFCAT exam 2018. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the written exam followed by the SSB Interview. To apply online for the AFCAT 2018, candidates need to visit the official website i.e careerairforce.nic.in. The application process will start from 16th June.
