The new Hyundai Tucson will make its debut at the New York Auto Show on the 28th of March

Remember how the Hyundai Tucson looked like a perfectly capable premium SUV until Jeep Compass came and spoiled the party? Well the latest news is that the Hyundai engineers have been spending time in the workshop and gearing up for the launch of the refreshed Tucson.

The new Hyundai Tucson will try to take its throne back from the Jeep Compass and the first glimpse of the car will be seen at the upcoming New York Auto Show. The immensely popular auto event is scheduled on the 28th of March.

New Hyundai Tucson: What To Expect?

Hyundai Tucson 2018 will come with a new face altogether. While the exact details aren’t known yet NDTV believes that it will come with a refreshed headlamp cluster along with LED daytime running lamps. There will also be a redesigned front and rear bumper in addition to the front grille. The changes on the rear might be more prominent with new tail lamps and tail gate design of the Hyundai Tucson.

The new Hyundai Tucson will get options for both a LED projector lamps and halogen projector units possibly depending upon the variant you choose from. Like any other facelift changes will continue to the inside as well but there is little to nothing that we know of right now.

Mechanically the engines from the previous Hyundai Tucson will be carried over to the new car or at least that is what we think. The petrol will be a 2.0-litre engine making 153Bhp and 192Nm of torque. The diesel engine of the Tucson will continue to make 182Bhp and 400Nm of torque.

New Hyundai Tucson Price In India and Launch Date

The new Hyundai Tucson will be showcased at the New York Auto Show in a few days and will likely hit the US market first. It has been on sale there for more than three year while Hyundai reintroduced it in India only an odd one and a half year back. However it is the price of the Hyundai Tucson that will be an interesting aspect to be seen especially since the launch of Jeep Compass have made things worse for the car.
