The Bihar Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2017 which was scheduled to be held on June 11, 2017 has been rescheduled by BSEB. the reason for postponing Bihar TET exam 2017 is said to be due to some circumstances sighted by Bihar board.
The new date for Bihar TET exam 2017 has now been fixed at June 29, 2017. However the format of Bihar TET 2017 exam would remain the same. As per sources, Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) to teach in a government school in Bihar would be held in two sessions at different timings. Session I would be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm and Session II will be held from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Read the details of Bihar TET exam 2017 below:
Bihar TET 2017 Exam
The BSEB TET 2017 exam would be held for teachers aiming to teach primary classes from 1st to 8th at the government schools in Bihar.
The applications for Bihar TET 2017 were taken from April 6 to April 25.
Since the papers will be held in two sessions, here are some details that might be important for you.
Bihar TET 2017 Session I – Class 1 to 5 | Timings: 10 am to 12:30 pm
- There will be a total of 150 questions
- Each question will carry 1 mark
- Bihar TET paper will be in sections with 30 questions each namely-
- Language I- Hindi/Urdu
- Language II- Urdu/Bengali
- Mathematics
- Child Development & Pedagogy
- Environmental Science
Session II of 2017 Bihar TET – Class 6 to 8 | Timings 2 pm to 4:30 pm
- The paper will carry 150 questions
- Each question will carry 1 mark
- This paper of Bihar TET 2017 will be in sections with 30 questions each namely-
- Language I- Hindi/Urdu/Maithili/Bhojpuri/Sanskrit/Arabic/Persian/English
- Language II- Hindi/Urdu/Maithili/Bhojpuri/Sanskrit/Arabic/Persian/English
- Mathematics/Science/Social Science
- Child Development and Pedagogy
The Qualifying Criteria-Bihar TET 2017
The qualifying marks according to different categories will remain this way:
- General Male – 90 marks
- OBC/Backward Classes/ Physically Handicapped – 83 marks
- Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste – 75 marks.
