CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) 10th & 12th board students have been really confused with the exam schedule since the board has not yet announced the final date sheet. The reason for the delay of the date sheet for CBSE board exam for 2018 is the legislative assembly elections in Karnataka. After the sources claimed that the exams were going to begin in February this year, the board put the end to this claim after disclosing that they have no such plans and the exams will commence from March 2018 only. There have not yet been the declaration of the final date sheet of the CBSE 10th & 12th board exams. CBSE board exams 2018 will begin in the month of March only as officially signed up by the board. If we go by the media reports, the final date sheet for CBSE board 2018 exams can be expected to be released on 10th January 2018.

The delay in the date sheet has been accounted for CBSE board 2018 exam this year. With the Legislative assembly elections coming up in Karnataka, the CISCE has ordered the CBSE to withhold the date sheet for the 2018 board exams. The sources in contact with the board have claimed that the CBSE 10th & 12th Board exam will be delayed and the final date sheet can be expected to be released on 10th January 2018. The delay in the date was on account of ongoing elections.
Where many media reports have hinted on the delay of the board exams, there some of the reliable sources have claimed that the board is not planning on delaying the CBSE board exams, but is withholding the date sheet to make adjustments according to the dates of the elections.
Will Board Exams 2018 be Delayed?
Recently, many sources have claimed that the board has no intention of delaying the board exam as it will disturb the complete cycle of the competitive exams but will make the adjustments in the exam dates as per the dates of the election. The reports have also hinted that CBSE will not further delay the release of the date sheet beyond 10th January 2018.
As per the suggestions of many sources the exams are going to begin by 1st March 2018. Make sure that the dates have not yet been announced by the board officially. So do keep checking for the official announcement. No matter if the exam dates are not announced, it has been confirmed that the 10th & 12th boards 2018 will be conducted in the month of March 2018. So, all the students are advised to prepare well for the exam.
